Do you ever worry about things that are outside of your control?
When we notice that our worrying isn’t helpful or productive, thinking about the people who love us or our favorite places or what we hope to achieve can be a great way to stay present in the moment, rather than worrying about the future. In this session, we going to create a treasure box to store the trinkets and memories that bring joy to little ones’ lives and remind us of all the good in our lives!
A lot of people think that mindfulness means being able to stop your brain from thinking about anything, but it’s actually the opposite! Being mindful means noticing how you’re feeling and what you’re thinking about.
Sometimes we worry about what we cannot change or what we have no control over, and often, that's kind of worrying isn't very helpful.
Reminding ourselves of all the people who love us and all the amazing things we've accomplished can help to calm us down when we notice ourselves worrying.
